A Review of ReviewMe in the SEO Blog

November 11th, 2006 · No Comments

Today I stumbled across an extremely unique website: ReviewMe.com. The site is fascinating because it openly promotes the use of blogging as way to improve search engine visibility. In other words, writing specifically for SEO and SEM purposes: Links and Traffic!

Blogging started as a dynamic method of posting information on the fly, such as a journal entry, company news, etc. I don’t believe the person who created the webblog thought that this tool would be used for SEO, but today it is. ReviewMe.com will actually pay you to write for them and their advertisers.

Why would someone pay for a review? Because there are literally millions of blogs on the Web, which means millions of opportunities to create one-way links from relevant high PageRank’d websites. If you are an online advertiser (or an SEO Expert), ReviewMe.com just added another bar to your monthly conversion chart.

As an Internet marketing guy, my channels now include:

  • Organic Search Engine Optimization
  • Paid Search (PPC & Paid Inclusion)
  • Email Marketing
  • Banner Ads
  • Link Development
    • Web Forums (slowing blocking SEO members)
    • Web Directories (SEM if not free)
    • Link Exchange Networks
    • Article Submissions
    • Press Releases
    • Blogs (New SEO Technique)

Link development is still so undefined (SEO or SEM?), since most links are purchased from web directories, software or subscription links. Blogs open a new door for link developers and based on what I’ve see so far, ReviewMe.com does a fantastic job of leveraging the blog industry to help advertisers and finally gives us bloggers some quantifying reasoning for rambling on our websites.

If you own a blog, I highly recommend checking out ReviewMe.com. Why keep blogging for free?
